I had dinner at Cafe Victoria with my family, and it started off well. My son and I shared the escargot, which was good, and my partner had the marinated salmon (assiette de saumon mariné), which was good too. Then, we got our main dishes, and that's where things started to go wrong. My son that the duck confit (confit de canard), which was good. My daughter had the margarita (margherita) pizza, which was one step above school cafeteria pizza. My partner had the salmon tataki (tataki de saumon), which was super bland and tasteless; she barely ate it. I had the steak (piece de bœuf du moment), which was really tough. I will say that it was well cooked (medium rare), and the mashed sweet potatoes and green beans were good. For dessert, we had crepes, which were just okay. The locale and the ambience was good and clean. The service was good but slow, which seems to be the standard in Paris. Overall, it was good but with several exceptions.
Accueil très agréable. Un choix varié de pâtes et pizzas à la carte. Le service est rapide. C’est parfait pour dîner avant un concert au dôme juste en face.
